ProAm Auto Accessories supports our children

The photo above is of “Team ProAm” taken at the Child Advocates’ Texaco Racing for Children Grand Prix.  Child Advocates is a non-profit organization that sponsors children in need across the country.  For the past 10 years, the Houston Children’s Festival has been a weekend event to help raise money and awareness of Child Advocates.  One of the many child-oriented events during the weekend is the Texaco “Racing for Children” Grand Prix, a go-kart race run by teams sponsored and driven by Houston area businesses. 

ProAm was honored to be asked to participate in this fun and worthwhile event.  Our team consisted of 4 drivers, and 2 crew members.  Each race was 16 laps and required that each driver complete 4 laps.  The ProAm team was excited to win the first preliminary race and be awarded the “Mayors Cup” trophy.  (Look closely at the photo and you might recognize a racing legend. No, he was not a driver for our team!) 

It was truly a heartwarming experience for all of us at ProAm to see the excitement in the eyes of Houston’s children.  Currently, the go-kart is proudly on display in our showroom as a reminder of just how important community and friendship is to us all.
